One Dark Night Tibetan Silver Skull Motif and Glass Bead Necklace Set

 

18" total length. This adorable and very shiny Gothic / Day of The Dead (Dia de los Muertos) themed necklace set sparkles and gleams with faceted glass beads in Black, Smoky Purple, and Silver Bi-cone shapes. The focal point is a feminine "Tibetan Silver" Pendant measuring 1-1/2" x 3-4" of a stylized skull clutching a rose between the teeth. Finished with a white metal chain for durability and Lobster Claw clasp.

Although the earrings are not an exact match, they carry on the flower motif with a cute daisy atop their grinning heads. Finished with Black and Smoky Purple glass beads and suspend from Silver Plated Fish Hook ear wires.

*Designers Note: "Tibetan Silver" usually contains little or no silver whatsoever, if there is any silver content in the piece it is about one or two percent. It resembles an antiqued silver piece and is highly popular in jewelry creation for today's current fashion trends. It is mostly Tin and Zinc, very much like pewter, and is usually nickel and lead free, due to allergies to these metals.

Zombie Spring Necklace Glass and Tibetan Silver Set

18" - Fun and fresh in green glass beads and "Tibetan Silver" Skull and Rose Pendant with not-so matching earrings that carry the flower motif with a cute daisy perched atop their smiling faces.

Tibetan Silver usually contains no silver what so ever, if there is any silver content in the metal at all, it is no more than 1 or 2%. Tibetan Silver is an alloy, usually Tin or Zinc, and is nickel and lead free due to allergies to this metals.

Glass bi-cone shaped beads are graduated in size and range from a pretty emerald to a pastel color. A single link chain completes the necklace.
Pendant measures 1-1/2" x 3/4".
Earrings are 2" total length and hang about 1-1/2" from ear lobe.

Fun Stuff To Do For Halloween Weekend Links and Promotions

Happy Friday,

I have been so busy this week filling orders and trying to make new items that I have not had much time to do much else.

Halloween arrives on Wednesday of next week and there are some fun things happening around town.

Frightened Felons at the Old Penitentiary

The Old Idaho Penitentiary will once again open it's doors during the spookiest season! Walk through 140 years of history and, of course, hear about all the scary but TRUE things that happened in every hidden corner.  All ages are welcome, but remember some themes can be too scary for kids under 10.

I attended last year as part of the entertainment. It is interesting and a lot of fun.  History rises from the Dead for this event.

A real working pumpkin farm.  They are open all month, check the link for times.  This is family fun, walk the maze, but don't get lost...

Where getting lost means finding fun!

I have not attended this, but I have been to the corn maze and other attractions.  These are OUTDOOR events and it is COLD!  Dress warmly, and bring a flash light, there isn't any electricity out in the fields or the woods and it's  DARK out there!


This year is the 13th Annual Haunted World! How appropriate!  

This is the largest outdoor Haunted attraction in the area, and it is very entertaining.  The Haunted House and Walk through the woods is nerve-racking fun!   Things jump out at you, costumed players pop out when you least expect it, diving from the corn rows or stalking you through the woods, and there are things planted and buried along the path (like trampolines) that make you feel uneasy.   Spooky, scary fun!

New Inventory In The Etsy Shop

Here we are, Monday, again.  How does it keep doing that?

Now that you all have your coffee, let us see what can be found in the shop.  There are more items on the way and custom work is always welcome!

Just in time for summer is this very cute and feminine Necklace set, that is the perfect compliment to the Summer dress that you have been dying to wear.  Silver Metal Daisies (Sunflowers) adorn the Silver plated jump rings linked in the Dragon Chain chainmaille pattern lengths, interrupted by lovely Peridot green faceted glass beads.  Matching earrings are included.

Next up is more summertime green with this "Tibetan Silver" Dia de los Muertos inspired motif of Skulls and Flowers.  Green glass beads in a pretty emerald to a soft pastel make up most of the chain, finished with a silver metal Rollo chain for durability.  Although the earrings do not match exactly they continue the flower motif with cute daisies perched atop their heads. 

*NOTE:  Tibetan Silver, has no silver content what so ever and is an alloy consisting mainly of Tin or Zinc.  If there is any silver in the metal at all, it is 1% to 2% at most.  This metal us usually Nickel and Lead free due to allergies to these metals.

Understated Steampunk Theme Bracelet crafted from Antiqued Bronze jump rings, star and gear charms.  This is a fun and light weight bracelet.  The gears were sold as jewelry components and have never been used in any machinery or device to my knowledge.  The chain is linked in the "Daisy Chain" or Rosette chainmaille pattern to add an extra bit of dimension and interest to the otherwise simple charm bracelet design.  The rings appear to be twisted or knotted together.

And last but not least in a three (3) piece jewelry set in antiqued Bronze.  Necklace is 25" long, adorned by a lovely old world style locket with an octopus motif.  Antiqued Bronze chain is interrupted by genuine Pyrite and antiqued Bronze beads.  The earrings match the beads links and the bracelet is 8" and a simple affair of antiqued Bronze chain and six genuine Pyrite beads suspended at equal intervals along the chain.  Both necklace and bracelet are finished with a Lobster Claw clasp, earrings are completed with French Wire (Fish Hook) style ear wires.

Wednesday In the Studio - Movies

Wednesday is here!

My departure draws near, and I am getting excited!  That's right, I said departure.  Next week I will be unavailable.  I am going to take some time for me before I burn out.  Recharging the batteries, spending some time away from the workbench is good for everybody.  There will be working, this is for sure, but for one week the blog will be sporadic at best.

Why movies today? A lot of inspiration for fashion comes from film or television.  Harry Potter's knitting craze, or Hermione's "Time Turner" for instance, jewelry from the Lord Of The Rings like Arwen's Butterfly Pendant can be purchased on line or through specialty catalogs .  See a piece you like on your favorite show?  Try Soap Opera Jewelry, from Soap Operas to programs like Bones, they carry replica jewelry of the pieces worn by the actors.

Below are movies that are out now, or just winding down their theater runs that I would like see, not only for inspiration on style, but because I am interested in the story as well.  They all have a Gothic appeal from your classic ghost story, to Edgar Allan Poe and a re-telling of Snow White.

First is The Woman in Black with Danille Ratcliff.

Next is The Raven with John Cusack.  My friend, Lucritia, and I must go see this together!

A dark comedy Dark Shadows with Johnny Depp.  This promises to be fun.

Not yet out in theaters Snow White and The Huntsman.  This looks like an interesting retelling of a favorite Fairy Tale.
