Know Your Chainmaille Weave

Good Morning,

Today I thought it might be fun to share samples of Chainmaille weaves.

Most weaves have several names for whatever reason that may be and it has little to do with the origins of the pattern itself.

European 4-in-1 Weave.
A most common chainmaille weave.

Box Chain - Also Called "Inca Puno" or Queen's Chain.

Byzantine Weave

Celtic Visions

Half Persian 3-in-1

Half Persian 4-in-1

Full Persian also called Foxtail

Helm Weave

Japanese 6-in-1

Viperscale (created by Lady Lockout)

The Alchemists Vessel creates Chainmaille jewelry using these patterns, all samples and images above are made / taken by Alixandra of The Alchemists Vessel.

Thank you for stopping in and having a look.

The Alchemists Vessel would like to wish you a pleasant day.
