Holiday Trends 2014

Good Morning,

Thanksgiving is right around the corner, and this morning the blog has some easy ideas to help out with decorating this season.

This years home decor, tree or table is all about the bling.  Shiny metallic Gold and Silver are the key to fashionable soirees.  Over-sized ribbons, garlands and pretty ornaments may be hung, placed or tucked on trees, walls or tables to make your room glitter.

Add a bit of color.  Get creative with shades and hues. Instead of Red and Green, try mixing it up a bit with soft blues (turquoise, pale powder blues or deep navy) or other pastel colors with contrasting deep tones can make for a lovely and tranquil tree or table center piece.

You can't go wrong with natural elements, and many can be found right in your own backyard.  Fallen tree limbs, a bit of wood, pine cones or burlap can make for a stunning and rustic down home feel.  Don't be afraid to re-purpose or recycle something.  A Lazy-Susan can make a wonderful centerpiece or place setting.  Raffia can adorn place cards or tie a napkin for a festive and unique accent.  Remember to let the wood dry out a little before crafting your decorations.

Thank you for stopping in and having a look.

The Alchemists Vessel would like to wish you a pleasant day.
