Rainbow Seahorse earrings made from lightweight acetate layers they are iridescent and transparent and have a rainbow shimmer, with hand painted 3D elements added to bring them to life.

Bring a touch of the ocean to your beach outfit this year, the rainbow tones work with many colours so this one pair would be ideal for everyday of your holiday or just to bring a little rainbow magic to every day at home.

The earrings have an iridescent film layer behind which brightens and enhances them, as the earrings are transparent the light both illuminates and reflects giving a constant changing effect. The photos are all of the same pair, the colours change that much depending on how light reflects or passes through them.

All my earrings are from my own designs, these are hand finished and embellished and so take a little longer to make than my other styles and this is reflected in the price.

With a 10 cm total drop length they are statement earrings.

Acetate is a type of plastic, the earrings are made of layers and are flexible, not easy to rip or tear. They look very delicate while being far more robust than you might expect.

The earrings each have tiny iridescent peacock beads either side if the silver jump ring.

The ear wires are Sterling silver so they will be comfortable for wearing for everyday use without discomfort.
The clip on earring version are Silver plated and 'soft close' so are also very comfortable.  They are very light in weight.

This original canvas oak leaf collage will add a bit of warmth to your home for fall, hanging on a wall or sitting on a shelf. I created this one of a kind piece by painting the leaf with professional grade acrylic paint on watercolor paper and adhering it onto a 4 x 4" gallery wrap canvas which I have painted with rich warm shades of reddish orange and brown. The sides are painted so no framing is necessary. I then sealed it with acrylic sealer. It's unique because I left the edges of the leaf slightly raised off of the canvas adding interest and creating depth. The last photo above shows coordinating acorn and leaf collages (not included) which also lift away from the canvas. These collages are also available for sale in my shop. Frightened Felons and Tools of Magic

We would like to apologize for the lack of posts for the past couple of days.  Having troubles with the blog and computer in general, I think we have things back to working order.

Good Morning,

Although Summer is over here in Boise, the Thunderstorms have started and it rains almost daily, it also mean that school is back in and for many the repeated plaintive cry, "But there's nothing to do!"

Here's something to do with the whole family, just yourself, grab your friends, or make it a date.

Art in the Park

If you click through to the site, you can find a map of the Artists as well as other event times and information.  This a great big huge outdoor event, that includes a Beer Garden.

Although Little Shop of Artists is not attendance, we of the shop are intending to go this weekend.  Once we have the details of our visit, those will be posted.

There are other neat things to do in town this weekend as well, unfortunately the events are not listed on line.  Check the Boise, Weekly or the Idaho Statesman for a list of goings-on and happenings in your area.

Rose Barrette Hand Tooled Leather

Product Details:

Hand Tooled Leather Barrette. A single large rose style flower in the middle, dyed two tone tan with brown leather reddish brown loop lacing around the edge, the under side is lined with black textured lining. Size: 5 1/2" long (flat), 3" wide, with 4" between the holes. It comes with the 6" long stick shown. It takes several hours to tool, dye and lace this Barrette, with no two ever being just alike.

For months I traveled by this barn near Independence Virginia and  thought it was beautiful with the mountains behind it.  I had to stop and photograph it.  This watercolor is the result of that photo.
