Happy New Year 2016

Good Morning,

The Alchemists Vessel will be seeing some changes in the coming year, and we are very excited about them.

We have set up the shop on the Facebook page and will be offering new items as well as some favorites for one stop shopping in 2016.

One of our favorite suppliers will be closing their doors in February and we are in hope of stocking up before the end business for Blue Buddha Boutique.  If there is something you are interested in, a pattern, design or other product, please contact us at the shop or e-mail us and we'll try to get it before it's gone.

The shop on The CraftStar is the best place to see our full line of in stock items, and we will be adding more products as they become available.

We love custom requests, questions, or if you'd just like to chat you may e-mail directly to: alchemistsvessel@gmail.com

Like, Find or Follow us on:

Facebook: The Alchemists Vessel
Twitter: Alix Alchemy
Pinterest Board: Jewelry By Alix

Thank you for stopping in and having a read.

The Alchemists Vessel would like to wish our family, friends, and fans, a Joyous and Prosperous New Year.

Featured Artists - How To Use The CraftStar Site

Good Morning,

Monday's post discussed a new venue The CraftStar.  Today I thought we would have a look at some of the other features and how to use The CraftStar site.

When you arrive at the site you will be greeted by the Greeting Page, scroll through the page or click Shop at the top of the page.

You will be taken to the Home Page

Here is your navigation window into the site.  You May Search or share from the convenient links at the top left of the page.  If you're already a member / seller you can choose to login and Join The Discussion, see what's happening on the Forums or in your favorite Club Thread on the Chat Boards.

Here I would like to make a note:  The JOIN link is for sellers, you will be asked for a fee ($%.00 a month).  If you continue down the page you will see under the marquis the link Newsletter, if you would like to see what's going on, shop or just keep up to date on the latest events and sales sign up and you can cruise the site for free.

The Search Products bar is just that, type in an item you are searching for and be taken to a page full of your specific item.    Here I have searched for Bracelets.

Click the SHOP button will switch you from a list of items to a list of shops, if you know which shop you're looking for you can find it here, or take a chance and click on a store you have not visited before or looks like it might be you style.

The side bar menu is your best friend here on the site.
You may search, select and click your way through a variety of neat things to look at on site.

Collective: A shop with a theme, various artists will have an item ranging from jewelry to other handcrafted items.

Sales - Check it out and see what is on discount or if that item you've had your eye on has been reduced.

Collections - Lists of favorite items by the members of The CraftStar

Shops - A quick way to hit the shop the list and see what's new or find your favorite.

Handmade - This is a block of recently listed handmade items for sale.

Vintage - This is a block of Vintage items recently listed for sale.

Supplies - Shops that sell things you need to make your goodies.

All items - every item that has been listed for sale on the site over the course of the day, week, month.

If you continue to scroll you will find block of items, videos, and a menu list of categories that you can click and visit shops or just look at the items.

Shop pages are easily navigated and many have featured items, like Yankee Burrow

You can even find The Alchemists Vessel on The CraftStar

You may also find and follow The CraftStar on Facebook
Follow them on Twitter or add them to your Pintrest boards.  Window shopping is always fun and always free, and you never know when you're going to find that perfect item you just can't live without.

Thank you for stopping in and having a look.  We hope we have encouraged you to do a little looking and visit the site.

The Alchemists Vessel would like to wish you a pleasant day.

Friday Promotions and Links

Happy Friday to all!

Let me begin with the Jewelry Contest.  Although it was a complete and utter flop, (perhaps it was the piece offered), there is a winner, and Second place is a tie.  With Facebook changing the Fan / Business pages, I am having trouble finding all the posts.  I will get to the announcement next week!

It's that time again!  The Treasure Valley Flea Market is next weekend, March 24 and 25th, Saturday and Sunday.  There is only one more in April.  Come on down and meet the artists, have a look at some of the jewelry pieces shown on the site, see what there is to see, and find your something.  5610 Glenwood, In Garden City, Idho Expo at the Fair Grounds.  See the Google Map at the bottom of the blog for location and directions, admission is $2.00 at the door.

Due to some customers feeling uncomfortable purchasing from the The Alchemists Vessel website, I have been asked, and have complied, to list the Ravens Nook items on Etsy.  I have done so.  They are under the Shop Section Ravens Nook, and all the items from the website may be found there as well. If the darker things do well, I may go ahead and open up a second shop for just the darker things, although Etsy frowns on such a  thing.

We also have a new third party app (widget) here on the blog.  Now you can shop The Alchemists Vessel and all it's listings on the side bar menu.  No need to leave the page, and all transactions are secure!

For the Pinterest Users out there.  Pinterest has a dashboard, Pinerly, that I have gotten a sneak peak at (Thank you Cindy Honig-Fong, for clicking!)  It looks very useful and I would like one.  The link below will take you to the invitation page, where you can get your own unique code, copy and paste it for your friends to click and get an invitation too.  Pinterest Dash Board or

Thank you for stopping by and having a look.

It is Friday!  We would like to wish you all a happy and joyous weekend.

A Featured Website

Usually on Thursday's I try to feature an artist or something that is unique and interesting.  I would love it if those that read the blog (or just know it exists) would like to participate by sending me bios and links to your products, artworks, jewelry, whatever, and we can feature you and get you out to the masses or at least a new audience!

Today's featured site is a new one that I have come across called "Pinterest".  Many of you that have an Etsy account may have seen the new button "Pin It".  This is a direct link to the Pinterest site, like clicking the F for Like on Facebook or the +1 for Google.

Pinterest in currently an invitation only sign up.  I can invite friends!  If Delicious is for links than Pinterest is for pictures.  Set up like a bulletin or cork-board, you can "pin" things you like on to separate boards, create categories on anything, and save these things on your Pinterest Boards.  You can look at, share and "re-pin" other users finds and boards as well.  I am unsure if you can view the boards without an account, but the link to mine is below.  I just started yesterday so I don't have much "pinned" yet.  If you would like an invitation, please e-mail or leave a comment here. Or follow the link and sign up at the page.  All that is required is an e-mail address.  They do ask that you sign in with Facebook, you cannot, however, directly pin things from Facebook to Pinterest, which is stupid, but that's the way it works.

They do ask that you do not use the boards for self promotion and this where your friends and networking comes in!  You may pin something that you made, sure, but do not use the boards to sell, promote or push yourself, your items or other things down the throats of others.  Get your friends organized, pin each others items, products, whatever to each others boards.  You will not only get views but an entirely new group of people will see your stuff!

So get in there and start pinning!

**NOTE:  Edited by the author the correct site for links is Delicious, not Digg.  I apologize.  All is right now.
