Shop New Items

Happy Monday!

Good morning.  Even in the midst of preparations for the Market next weekend, there is still time to make and list new items in the shop.  This morning there are four or five new things to peruse and perhaps purchase at your leisure.

First is an example of an Up-cycled item.  Several broken and tangled necklaces were taken apart, salvaged and scavenged for usable parts and pieces, then re-designed and strung as an entirely new piece.

Genuine Gemstones include: Amethyst, Malachite, Black Agate, Aventurine and Hematite.  Strung on Sterling Silver beading wire with a Sterling Silver Gothic style Hook clasp.  An hand-set Amethyst crystal is held in a tiny Sterling Silver Dragon's (Bird's) claw is the focal piece of the necklace.
Detail Photo
Here the claw detail may be seen, surrounded by Sterling Silver and Amethyst spacer beads, with Black Agate crescent moons and Hematite stars.  Body of the necklace is accented with Malachite hearts and Aventurine stars, as well.

This pattern, although not new, is now created in a single color metal.  Half-Persian 4 -in- 1 weave, in Silver Plated and Gunmetal wire (jump rings).  Slinky, sultry and unisex, these are light weight and perfect for casual or evening attire.

Each of these is sizable, customizable and available in a variety of metals, including but not shown (listed) Gold Tone, Antiqued Copper or Bronze.  Precious Metal orders available upon request.

Although Gunmetal is not black, but a shiny steel-blue color, this bracelet is great for a Knight's folly of fun and frolic.

Beachy Steampunk, you betcha!  Even the Victorians enjoyed a holiday at the beach on occasion.  These are cute, light weight, and there is only one pair available!

Topped with a Brown bi-cone glass bead for added sparkle, these are great for a sandy get away!

Can you believe it is July, and Independence Day just right around the corner?  Me neither!  With that in mind let's jump ahead several months and have a look at these wonderful Hammer-textured Antiqued Bronze Scaredy Cat earrings.

Also accented with a Brown bi-cone glass bead, these cats really swing.  Great for a Halloween outfit, or your favorite cat-fancier!  Light weight and fun to wear.  One pair available!

Thank you for stopping by and having a look.

The Alchemists Vessel would like to wish you a pleasant work week and a Happy Independence Day.

New Items In The Shops

Happy Monday Morning!

I trust you all had a relaxing and rejuvenating weekend.

I had a lot of fun this weekend.  Despite my reservations about teaching for a Corporate Craft Store, things went well.  I enjoyed myself and I think the attendees had a good time as well.  But enough about that, on to what's new!

Elegant
This really is an elegant piece. Silver Plated wire is hand spun and cut in to jump rings, accented with Black Diamond Czech Glass beads (silver lined), in the European 4-in-1 pattern, woven vertically, for a change of pace.  As always this comes in a variety / combination of color and metal choices.  Check out this Wednesday's blog for a complete list of Czech Glass colors currently available, and let us create one for you in your favorite colors.  Custom orders are always welcome.

Detail

Not quite new, but still very pretty and in new Czech Glass bead colors.  These bracelets can be made longer into Choker, Collar or Necklace length chains.  Here they show off Pearl and Clear Silver Lined Czech Glass beads.

Pearl: Would make a great June Birthday present.

Detail: The beads really are Pearlescent in color.

Silver Lining:  Just that, silver lined, clear Czech Glass beads.  Custom order per buyer's request.  7-1/2" long including clasp.  We can make one in your favorite color, too!

Detail: SOLD

Last up is an Antiqued Copper and Gear Choker / Collar.  There are two versions, interrupted chain (as shown below) and dangle (not shown), on which the gears hang from the chain, also available in Silvertone and Antiqued Bronze.  European 4-in-1 is woven horizontally to create this very pretty lacy look chain.

Copper Collar

Detail: The Gears are sold as jewelry components and have never been used in any machinery to my knowledge.

Thank you for stopping in and having a look.  The Alchemists Vessel would like to wish you a pleasant work week.

What's In The Shop?

Good Monday Morning to you.

Today's blog is rather short, I spent some time this weekend learning a new method of creating pendants, and though it did not go as I was in hope it might, I will be trying again.

A couple of weeks back I mentioned that I had acquired some Sterling Silver plated charms, after sorting through them, I have come up with six pairs of earrings, some are typical, some are unique and all are hand crafted or assembled as the case may be.

As always, items may be found by visiting The Alchemists Vessel.  The pair's title may be found beneath the picture and corresponds to the items on the shop pages as well.

The next item is a Copper bracelet.  One of the oldest metals in use, archeological sites have uncovered copper pieces dating back to 8700 BC, citing Cyprus as one of the major suppliers of Copper in the Ancient World.  Not only was it was an important material for forging Bronze weapons, it was also used for creating jewelry and ritual ornaments.  Reminiscent of the Mediterranean, this copper bracelet was forged from copper wire and disks; antiqued, spun, cut and punched by hand, the exception is the manufactured antiqued Toggle Clasp.  Copper is associated with Aphrodite (Greek) and Venus (Roman), the goddesses of love, copper in its metaphysical meaning, represents love; it has great connectivity and mixes well with other metals and natural gemstones.  Beautiful on its own in this simple Chain Maille weave bracelet.

Five Great Gifts to Give Tuesday 3/06/12

Hello,

This morning I am pleased to bring you more new shops from Etsy.  As always five varying items are listed below.  Please enjoy and take time to notice something unique, pretty, or offbeat every day.

This finest quality imperial jasper cab has dramatic green spiderweb patterns with hues of dull pink and browns. This gemstone reminds me of a forest floor, thick vegetation, moss growing on decaying branches and logs, an ever changing cycle where the old makes way and sustains the new; where nothing is ever lost and yet nothing remains the same.
This pendant has been created with recycled fine silver(.999) metal clay. This pendant is completely handcrafted, hand textured, antiqued and polished.
Comes with Vaasvara makers mark. Sterling silver rollo chain is about 17 inches long. Handmade sterling silver S clasp. The cab is around 35 mm by 24 mm. The pendant measures about 5 cm by 3.5 cm.

This a signature Vaasvara jewelry piece and you will love the stone and the beautiful setting it embraces.

Cuten Crafty Designs has this really cute Mom-is-Love 5 x 5 photo frame and Mother's day is coming up!

Description: 5x5 Black Photo Frame matted 3x3 made in a soft yellow flower bazzill cardstock embellished with roses, glittered words and a short poem written by me. All writing is copyrighted and not permitted for use.

Hippy Wife Designs has listed this Charm Bracelet: Blue Blossoms and Berries Upcycled Vintage Floral Charm Bracelet

Description: How gorgeous is this?!! Where to begin! LOL

This bracelet is made, by me, with an incredibly beautiful solid brass ornate vintage chain, vintage blue glass givre flowers, contemporary glass ivy leaves which are olivine on one side with an iridescent finish on the other that captures and reflects blue, purple, and green. There are both Czech and Swarovski crystals, Gutermann Czech glass snail pearls and sweet little vintage brass openwork butterflies. All elements were wire wrapped and added to this gorgeous chain by me.

It will come with an ornate vintage brass box clasp for the finishing touch once it is purchased and resized, if necessary, for its new mommy, whoever she turns out to be. :0)

Dainty Thorn has this Antique Vintage Bronze Octopus Light Pink Pearl Necklace

This nautical inspired necklace features a antique brass octopus measuring 43x35mm, richly detailed and lovely, adorned with a grade A freshwater 10mm yellowish light pink pearl.

It is hanging from an antiqued brass chain and closes with a lobster clasp measuring at 18".

All purchases come shipped in a delicate gift bag as well as a custom designed package!

And that is all for today.  I hope you found something fascinating, and beautiful and perhaps something to give or call your own.
