Terataspis grandis was one of the largest (and
spiniest) trilobites. He lived in the Devonian period and grew to about
two feet, far overshadowing most trilobites that reached two to six
inches.
This original paper sculpture is created from colored
and textured specialty papers. The papers are cut flat, then shaped and
layered into a low relief collage. The three dimensional nature of the
work captures light throughout the day for an everchanging experience!
Shadow box frame is custom built 32 x 22, rubbed black with a beautiful rust colored undercoat.
